Army Family Team Building
Army Family Team Building Program prepares families for any situation. It helps everyone to function at a high level of self sufficiency in the time of separation. The AFTB classes provide participants with information to help understand the functions of the Army and the Soldier's role. AFTB also offers the tools to assist in improving the family well-being.
Exceptional Family Member Program
Exceptional Family Member Program is a mandatory enrollment program based on carefully defined rules. An Exceptional Family Member is a dependent, regardless of age, who requires medical services for a chronic condition; receives ongoing services from a specialist, has mental health concerns/ social problems/ psychological needs, receives education services provided on an Individual Education Program (IEP), or a family member receiving education services provided on an Individual Family Service Plan(IFSP). EFMP works with other military and civilian agencies to provide comprehensive and coordinated medical, educational, housing, community support and personnel services to families with special needs. This program is designed to assist your personal offices in making assignments for you, as often as possible accompanied by family members.
Army Family Action Plan
Army Family Action Plan is input from the people of the Army to Army leadership. It's a process that lets Soldiers and families say what is working and what is not, and what they think will fix it. It alerts commanders and Army leaders to areas of concern that need their attention, and gives them the opportunity to quickly put plans into place to work toward resolving the issues. Most installations have an AFAP annually.
Family Advocacy
Family Advocacy Program provides services to prevent intimate partner violence and child abuse by improving family functioning, easing the kinds of stress that can contribute to abusive behavior, and creating a community that is supportive of families. The prevention programs are designed to create community and command awareness of abuse, provide information of existing services, and provide specific educational programs.
Relocation Services
Relocation Services helps soldiers and families reduce the problems often associated with frequent relocation. We offer various services, from inbound to outbound, as well as various multi-cultural services. This program isavailable at most Army installations and not National Guard installations.
Personal Financial Readiness Program
Personal Financial Readiness Program offers a wide range of services to assist soldiers, their families, retirees, and Department of the Army civilians with their financial affairs as well as consumer issues

1AE mission
First Army Division East mobilizes, trains, deploys, and demobilizes Reserve Component Forces IAW Combatant Commanders, Department of the Army, and FORSCOM directives. Provides training to Joint, Interagency, Combined, and Active Army Forces as directed. Provide training support to Reserve Component Forces for Contingency Expeditionary Force and Deployment Expeditionary Force requirements.
