UNIT MISSION:
1st Battalion, 309th Regiment assesses and provides pre-mobilization training assistance for Army Reserve and Army National Guard units within the battalion's Area of Responsibility. Conducts operations to enhance and improve individual and unit readiness for employment throughout the operation spectrum. On order, plans, prepares, mobilizes, and deploys to conduct post-mobilization, pre-deployment training at specified U.S. Army Power Projection Platforms for Designated Army Reserve and Army National Guard Formations.

In coordination with Joint Base and mission partners, 174th Infantry Brigade executes and certifies individual and collective training IAW theater specific standards at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ for designated US Army Reserve, National Guard, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard units to prepare Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen, and Coast Guardsmen for deployment in support of Overseas Contingency Operations.
